This blog is about my book Surviving the Peace, The Struggle for Postwar Recovery in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and related subjects. This book, published in November 2019, describes the hand of cards dealt ordinary people in Bosnia at the end of the war, and what those people did to survive and recover. It follows the grassroots human rights campaigns and their leaders, from the six- or seven-year drive for refugee return, through reconstruction and survival back home (or in a new home), through the ongoing fights against corruption and discrimination.
